Advanced Visualization Features Lower Dose in CTA

To enable lower-dose computed tomography angiography (CTA), an advanced visualization software feature allows automatic processing server (APS) preprogramming to convert low-dose, thin-slice data and into thicker slices. The iNtuition software feature helps reduce the signal to noise ratio (SNR) for left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) assessment.

The software has an expanded range of tools to preprocess and filter CTA data. The diagnostic appearance of these images can be modified in accordance with departmental standards, or according to each physician’s preference. The ability to visualize small and large vasculature and reduce noise artifacts is enahnced using the software’s adaptive filtering and smoothing algorithms.

The APS server now includes an application programming interface (API) to intelligently apply image preprocessing engines. The derived image data produced by these engines can then be incorporated into customizable iNtuition workflows to increase interpretation efficiency.

The software leverages the server-based 3-D rendering technology VolumePro to provide more clinical tools and to support simultaneous users from a single rendering server.
